Urbanistas on a tight budget take note: Gothic Cabinet Craft has really inexpensive, basic wood furniture that you can get stained or painted to create a not-so-basic look. All you have to do is choose a wood (generally pine, birch, oak, or ash) and pick a finish (such as walnut, mahogany, teak, or whitewashed), and the shop will create a custom piece just for you–that you don’t have to assemble yourself. You can order online, but more finishes seem to be available at the shop, so make your purchase there. While Gothic Cabinet Craft has all kinds of quality furniture, it’s especially good for dressers ($190 and up), dropleaf and kitchen tables ($140 and up), and shelving ($50 and up). And you thought you have to travel all the way to Ikea to find a good furniture deal… Gothic Cabinet Craft is filed under House: Furniture.
