If you are looking for vintage threads, look no further than Beacon’s Closet, which sells used clothes, shoes, and other accessories. The massive and popular Williamsburg location gives off a heavy hipster vibe–and we’re not just talking about the merchandise. But the more intimate Park Slope shop (pictured here) is less of a scene and, we think, has more designer gems hidden in the racks (on a recent trip, one urbanista scored a Chanel jacket for $12!). Beacon’s Closet will also buy your spring cleaning leftovers, but no matter how nice your old rags are, don’t expect to buy a small island with your profits.
