Don’t you think it’s about time you take your VHS tape of Center Stage out of your VCR and actually venture into the real world to watch a live ballet production? You do live in New York after all, and the American Ballet Theatre is just up (or down) the street. The ABT is a company of dancers that tour the United States and perform various classic works as well as some originals, and when performing in New York, the ABT pirouettes thorough the Metropolitan Opera House. But the season is short–it’s only about eight weeks long–so be sure to plan ahead so you don’t miss out on the chance to live vicariously through the prima ballerina for a night. –Cassandra Handley
