Cate Edwards and Jessica Flint, two friends who met working in Manhattan in 2004, founded Urbanista one night over cocktails.

Cate graduated from Princeton University in 2004. After spending four months campaigning for the 2004 Democratic Presidential ticket, she moved to New York, where she worked in journalism until enrolling in Harvard Law School in Fall 2006.

Jessica moved to Gotham after graduating from Miami University in 2004. She’s been living and working in the city ever since.
