Hey, look: It’s yet another mostly unmarked, purposely under-the-radar bar! Located behind a dark gate for a toy shop and down some questionable stairs is this speakeasy, originally owned by Tim Robbins and friends, where every cocktail is served in teacups (save for the beer, thank God). The Vintage vibe may sound adorable, but it’s actually quite difficult to drown yourself in Stoli while balancing a saucer and teacup. That said, the music is good, the crowd is easy-going, and the dark red decor makes you feel like you’re in an intimate parlor. And per the bar’s name, there’s a secret door in the back behind the bookcase that leads to a hidden back room - but don’t bother. If you don’t know the password, the doorman won’t give you the time of day. Yes, adults seriously behave this way. Back Room is filed under Food&Drink: Group Drinks (you can reserve the back room).
