Though its hotspot heyday passed long ago (save for the occasional gay party nights), B-Bar is still the best outdoor eating and drinking below 14^th. If you’re not too cool to be seen surrounded by the somewhat questionable mix of patrons, you’ll find yourself in a lovely garden, the perfect patio for a long and lazy afternoon of eating and drinking. The menu is traditional American fare and it’s hard to go wrong with the basics. But it’s not haute cuisine by any standard, so avoid the oysters and stick with the French fries.
