Located on the Lower East Side’s restaurant row, Cube 63 is a tiny wonder with reliably fresh and tasty sushi (although sometimes unreliable service). It manages to be dark and intimate without heaping on the romance. There are but a handful of tables and without reservations you may face a considerable wait, but if you want Japanese cuisine before your LES bar crawl, Cube is where you want to be. Plus, it’s one of those increasingly rare BYOB gems. And it’s good for a group of six to 10 people—but only if you call ahead way in advance and reserve a block of tables. Cube 63 is filed under Food&Drink: BYO and Food&Drink: Group Dining.
