Looking for a great place to brunch? Sister to the ever-popular Frank and Lil’ Frankies, Supper provides the same kitschy ambience as its siblings without the line out the door. The inside of the restaurant is cute, fun, and reminiscent of a cozy Italian trattoria, and on a nice day, you can sit outside and enjoy quality Alphabet City people-watching. Whether you’re in the mood for a tasty plate of pasta or a nutella sandwich, Supper’s brunch has your taste buds covered. Hung-over girls and guys alike will love the crusty, yet soft bread served with a spicy olive oil. Or, if you’re craving an omelet, try the one with roasted fennel and fontina cheese. The sweet fennel coupled with the creamy cheese play nicely together without overpowering the palate. Feel like reverting to your childhood after a long night of partying? Try the Supper PB&J. The gooey peanut butter and grape jelly paired with ripe bananas and served on a toasted baguette is ten times better than what you used to get in your lunch box. And, if you’re in the mood for something heartier, the chicken cutlet parmigiana is a crispy fried piece of chicken, smothered in a homemade marinara sauced and topped with delicious melted fresh mozzarella cheese. While the service is spotty at best, the food more than makes up for it. Guaranteed, you’ll leave asking who needs brunch when you can have Supper? –Margot Lowenstein
