As one might expect from being located right in the heart of Times Square, the Hotel QT Bar often has an eclectic mix of patrons. People watching aside though, this ultra-modern bar, which is nestled into the back of the hotel’s first floor, has a distinctly posh feel. The décor is sleek and the space is relatively small, but the real reason to get a post-work cocktail: a pint-sized pool adjacent to the bar. No, this isn’t an MTV music video—but it is a nice change from the average Times Square bar scene, which is mediocre at best. A glass of wine is about $10 on average, so don’t expect to drink on the cheap. Do, however, make this an after work stop if you work in the ‘hood. Btw, if you are feeling adventurous (or just in the mood to make a splash), the hotel sells American Apparel swimsuits at the front desk. –Meredith Stebbins
