From the chic atmosphere to the incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff, an afternoon at the uptown Bumble and Bumble is a fabulous experience. Their colorists know what they are doing, which is always a plus (when one urbanista—me, haha—wanted to tone down her blonde highlights, the stylist found the perfect natural looking color that she loved), and the stylists can be trusted to give you a modern and fresh cut that will customize to create your signature look (but if you are there for a haircut, do beware: B&B is still the home of the razor cut, which looks amazing on some, but it’s not for everyone, as it can be hard to style yourself). A trip to B&B is def pricey, but magazine editors, celebrities, socialites, and models continue to flock to the salon for a reason. And if you cringe at the price tag, try the B&B University to get cut or colored by a trainee. By the way, the salon’s products are great as well: Try the new hair powder, which is great for those days you just can’t be bothered to wash your hair (dude, you know you have those days too). –Kristin Koch
